Windows XP has a built in compression utility which you can use to save valuable space on your hard disk. 2. Similarly, if you wish to create a compressed folder for a file or folder separate from the one it is in now, right click on the item that you wish to compress and choose 'send to compressed (zipped) folder' This will create a new separate compressed folder in the same location as the original file or folder having less space than the original file or a folders.

Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to LogIn

Here is another small tweak which will prompt to press Ctrl-Alt-Del before logging in. Actually this is required for the secure login. This process guarantees the system from other programs that mimic a login screen to retrieve password information.

Change Internet Explorer Logo

In case you haven’t noticed it, just check out the small internet explorer logo in the top right corner of the menu bar. Wanna customize it to whatever image you want or put your own image over there. Well, here’s the trick that can be useful to you. This it a tweak to change the small logo at the top right corner of your browser.

1. Click Start -> Run -> type ‘gpedit.msc’ without any quotes
2. Navigate to User Configuration -> Windows Setting -> Internet Explorer Maintenance -> Browser User Interface
3. Double click on ‘Custom Logo’
4. Check on ‘Customize The Static Logo Bitmaps’
5. Browse for your new Logo (check the requirement of the image)
6. Click OK
7. An error will popup. Read it and click Yes

Open your internet explorer and notice that the image in the top right corner has changed.
